Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport

This course will provide the appropriate skills and knowledge to be able to provide support in primary school PE sessions or for after school sports activities. There have been recent changes in the national curriculum in primary schools and providers of school PE will need a recognised qualification Students will learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate physical education lessons for primary school children in line with the National Curriculum Whilst aspiring to pursue your chosen career, your course will be part of a study programme package that will be integral to your progression into employment.

Part of this programme will include: Membership onto our sports academy programme, Participating in matches/games, Gaining exceptional employability skills, Improving your GCSE grades in English and maths, Attending tutorials, Developing entrepreneurial skills, Exciting trips and visits, Working with industry experts

Entry Requirement:

5 or more GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English Language and maths grade 4. Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in Physical Education and School Sport or NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership. You will be required to apply for a DBS check

Where does it lead:

Employment in schools during class delivering PPA cover or delivering after school sports activities. You will also have the opportunity to apply for work with coaching companies
