Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma Fashion (Art and Design)

From concept to the runway, you will develop a broad range of creative and technical skills in fashion and textiles.

In year 1 you will work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design, if you achieve this you can progress onto year two and work towards the Extended Diploma.

In our specialist fashion and textile studios, you will independently produce innovative and inspirational designs that will be presented at multiple opportunities. Through practical and theoretical projects you will develop sought-after skills by exploring practical elements such as design, digital illustration, pattern cutting, garment construction, textile techniques, and drawing. You will also be required to complete industry-standard client projects, and throughout you will develop your portfolio of work, for your next career step

Each year of the course completes with a Final Major Project and an opportunity to present your work at an exhibition or fashion show.

We place a strong emphasis on employability skills, such as presenting ideas, portfolio development and negotiating effectively with potential clients.

The Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Fashion and Textiles) provides young people with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to progress to higher education, or into employment.

Entry Requirement:

Provide a portfolio of your previous projects you have completed. This can either be a hard copy or a digital portfolio, or links to content online, 5 or more GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English language and Maths at grade 4. Progression from level 2 at Merit or Distinction and Level 2 Functional Skills.

You can go onto further study at University or explore employment in the creative industries.
