Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in IT
If you want to progress to higher education or employment and do not have the required skills or knowledge, this may be the right course for you!!! With so much investment and heavy reliance on technologies, Computing has become a global industry. With use of Artificial Intelligence and robots, low skill jobs are disappearing and you need to have specialist skills to secure a well-paid and desirable job. Many jobs have a digital element, and it is predicted that within 20 years 90% of all jobs will require some element of digital skills. As technological changes are evolving rapidly, there will be even greater demand for people with specialist digital skills.
The 60-credit BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the appropriate vocational sector. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level. If you have not achieved high grades in your GCSE maths or English, you will have the opportunity to retake those qualifications. We would also encourage you to fit a voluntary or part time job around your program of study at college. There is a huge range of graduate career options that are highly in demand such as, Programming, Database Management, Robotics, AI, Augmented Reality (AR), Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Networking and Desktop Support.
