Level 3 NCFE CACHE Certificate in Preparing to work in Early Years Education and Care


This Level 3 Childcare qualification enables you to become an Early Years' Educators and to work with children from birth to 5 years old. Students will cover key themes which will include: Health and well-being; Legislation, frameworks and professional practice; Play, development and learning for school readiness and Professional development.

You will also undertake a longitudinal study involving child observations. You will undertake 350 placement hours in a range of work settings to gain practical experience of working with children of different age groups.

Entry Requirement:

You should be aged over 16, have GCSE English and maths at Grade C or above, undertake a College written assessment and interview and provide a suitable reference. You will also have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

Where does it lead:

Upon successful completion of this qualification students may gain employment as an Early Years Educator in a range of child care settings.
