Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma In Health And Social Care (Health Science)

This course will give learners the opportunity to gain a broad knowledge and understanding and develop skills in the health and social care sector.

Entry Requirement:

You will be expected to have 5 or more GCSEs at grade 9-4 or above including Maths, English) or L2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Applied Science with merit or distinction. Functional Skills L2 in maths and English are accepted as equivalent qualifications to GCSEs. You will also be required to undergo a DBS check (replacing the CRB) when enrolling in this course. Applicants must also have a good reference, interview, assessment and communication skills. Your commitment and interest in the subject will also be assessed during the interview process.

Where does it lead:

On successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to further enhance your skills and knowledge by progressing on to university to study a health and social care or science-related degree or HND. Alternatively, you could enter employment straight away in the Health Services. Alternatively, you can also progress to a Higher National Diploma in Health, Public services, and care.
