Diploma in Fitness and Exercise Instruction Level 2 (YMCA)
This qualification provides you with the knowledge and skills to enable you to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective fitness sessions. You will cover topics including fitness testing and training and anatomy and physiology.
GOLF ACADEMY (NEW FOR SEPTEMBER 2019)
On this course you can choose also take part in our Golf Pathway in partnership with Theydon Bois Golf Club. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the golf industry, or simply want to enjoy the competitive side of the game whilst continuing your academic study, this is the pathway for you!
The programme is aimed at golfers of all levels, from beginners to single figure handicaps. You will play regular, competitive features in both the college order of merit and against other teams from across the region.
In choosing to study on the golf pathway at New City College, you will receive the following;
- Membership at Theydon Bois Golf Club, one of the best courses in Essex.
- Competitive NCC order of merit fixtures every Wednesday (scratch and net).
- Regular competitive matches against other colleges.
- Access to PGA professional coaching on a weekly basis.

ATHLETIC PATHWAY (NEW FOR SEPTEMBER 2019)
On this course you can choose also take part in the athletics programme, where you will receive six hours coaching per week at the London Community Stadium and also prepare for and enter athletics competitions. Training sessions are planned to take place in the evening, after your studies. This programme is in partnership with 110% Beyond Your Limits. The coaches, English record holder in the 110m hurdles Tony Jarrett and former GB international 110m hurdler Gianni Frankis, aim to provide the highest quality training sessions based on their knowledge and experiences from the world of Athletics.
