The Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport is developed in partnership with the Association for Physical Education (afPE) and prepares learners for employment in a school sport setting, by providing an introduction to opportunities to work as a PE and school sport professional.
The qualification is designed to build on the knowledge developed at Level 2, giving you a greater understanding of programmes of study for PE, the national curriculum and the environment in which you will be operating.
The course is assessed throughout the year through completion of your portfolio and practical assessments, there are no exams. You will study a range of theoretical and practical based units to prepare and support you through your work placement, such as safeguarding, child development, planning, delivery and reviewing sessions, support assessment for learning and schools as organisations.
You will undertake a work placement in a local primary or secondary school, as well as a range of events in the community throughout the year that you will organise and lead at. These are great network opportunities to meet potential employers and gain experience with renowned organisations in the industry such as the Essex FA, Premier Sport and London Youth Games. Every student will be enrolled on a Sport Pathway, joining one of our established academies.

We have partnered with the world-famous Tottenham Hotspur to offer all students a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in the sports sector.
Our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club gives male and female students a fantastic insight and experience of the coaching process and help further develop and support elite sports performance.
This programme is designed for students who want a career in the sports industry, primarily in coaching and training. You will be trained by qualified coaches from Tottenham Hotspur and visit Tottenham Hotspur’s Training Centre, they get the opportunity to work at high profile premiership games and they progress to great things.
You will receive the very highest standards of coaching and sports industry knowledge, which will enhance your employability skills. This programme can be added to any 16-18 full-time sport and fitness course.
Progress to university, further study or employment.
Previous student have gone on to direct entry into employment in the Sports Coaching industry, or Education Sector; or have progressed to Higher Education at Foundation degree level.
