How does the T-Level differ from a BTEC?
Whilst most BTEC courses offer general knowledge and skills for subject areas, T-Levels are more specialista and focused on strands, such as software, applications and the web.
Whilst you will still do work experience on a BTEC course and get a general work-placement experience, on a T-Level course you have occupational competencies that form part of your assessment so that you can rigorously develop those skills through working in the industry.
Although T-Levels will not stop you from going into a degree course, they are mainly aimed at young people who are looking to progress into employment upon successful completion of their course
