Entry requirements
There is no formal entry requirements for this course, however, the applicant must be willing to work towards their English and Maths CGSE if not already achieved.
Information
This course allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry or joinery. This course covers producing basic woodworking joints, and safely using various hand and power tools.
Course units include:
- Health, safety and welfare in construction
- Principles of building construction, information and communication
- Maintain and use carpentry and joinery hand tools
- Prepare and use carpentry and joinery portable power tools
- Produce woodworking joints
