Entry requirements

Three or more GCSEs at Grade 2 including:

  • GCSE English Language and maths at Grade 2 (or equivalent)
  • Successful completion of Entry 3, and appropriate recommendation report

Course information

This courses has been created to provide students with an introduction to the creative sector, enabling them to make informed future progression choices while developing and applying their knowledge and acquiring a range of relevant practical, communication, personal development and broader transferrable skills.

You will complete a range of units, be organised, take assessments that will demonstrate your skills and keep a portfolio of your assignments.

  • creating a spreadsheet to solve problems

Students will develop creativity skills within a structure that will provide a sound base of skills and knowledge development, while developing skills for progression to further study and broader transferrable skills.

This course is designed as preparation to move up to Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE level) study. The course is studied over one year, alongside English and Maths.

Students will work on a number of practical assignments in units and will be assessed on a grade scale of Pass, Merit or Distinction.

What Can This Course Lead To

This course is designed for progression onto one of our Level 2 courses in Art & Design or Media. Progression is not automatic and will be based on student achievement, progression and commitment throughout the year.
