A Level Geography


The Physical Geography component will be assessed in a two and a half hour written exam, as will the Human Geography component. These exams will be sat at the end of the second year of the course. Each exam will be worth 40% of the final mark. Students will also complete a Geography Fieldwork investigation of 3-4000 words which will be assessed by your teachers and account for 20% of your final mark.

  • Hazards
  • Ecosystems under stress

Human geography

  • Global systems and global governance
  • Changing places
  • Contemporary urban environments
  • Population and the environment
  • Resource security
