Access to Higher Education Diploma: Health Professions


Access to Health Professions can lead to careers in all branches of the health profession including nursing (child, adult and mental health), speech and language therapy, midwifery through to occupational therapy, social care and paramedic practice.

On the course, you will study:

You can fund an Access course by taking out an Advanced Learner loan from the government.If you take out a loan for an Access course, then complete a university degree course, you will not have to pay your Access loan off.

Entry Requirement:

To join an Access course you will need to demonstrate that you have Level 2 English and maths skills. This includes either having achieved GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above or grades A-C, or Functional Skills Level 2.

If you do not hold a Level 2 qualification by completing an English and maths assessment at the college.

Study at university for a degree in a wide range of health and care subjects including nursing, midwifery, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, health and social care and para medicine.
