
Level 3 BTEC 90 Credit/Extended Diploma In Sport
The 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport has been developed in partnership with the Association for Physical Education (afPE) and is supported by employers and the industry. The qualification further develops your knowledge and understanding of a number of roles in providing Physical Education and School Sport (PESS). The skills you develop may be used by to work in other sporting roles, such as coaching.
During your learning and assessment programme, you will be assessed on the completion of a series of written tasks, the delivery of a number of individual session plans and self-reflection activities.

Entry Requirement:
5 or more GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English Language and maths at grade 4 or above. Or, progression from Level 2 at Merit or Distinction, with successful completion of English and maths qualifications.
Where does it lead:After successful completion of this programme you will have the opportunity to progress to any Level 3 programme in the School of Sport and Fitness, or seek employment.
The qualification can help you become a qualified Teaching Assistant (TA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The qualification assessment has been mapped against professional standards for teaching assistants and can help provide evidence for completion of other teaching related qualifications.
