Level 2 NCFE CACHE Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner - Adult


Looking for a career in childcare? This course offers you the opportunity to achieve a fully recognised qualification to become a qualified practitioner working with children from birth to 7 years old.

As part of the course, you will cover a range of topics related to childcare work including:

  • Dealing with parents/carers
  • Working in partnership with statutory agencies and other professionals
  • Child development
  • Safeguarding
  • Health and safety

The course requires you to attend a work setting for 1 day per week and to undertake 250 placement hours in total. You will be assessed by a qualified Assessor.

Applicants enrolled for any Early Years course will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application form.

Entry Requirement:

Candidates will need to be competent to functional skills level 1 in English and mathematics. If you are not yet at that level, you will have the opportunity to undertake functional skills or GCSEs in English and mathematics as part of your programme.

The course offers a number of progression pathways including employment, an advanced apprenticeship and a level 3 qualification in childcare.
