This course programme provides you with knowledge and skills to work as a Care Assistant and will prepare you for the Level 1 award. This course focuses on early years, young people, adults and people with additional learning or physical needs.
Key topics:
- an understanding of equality diversity and inclusion
- safeguarding training for a range of service users
You will be supported to attend a relevant work placement to shadow experienced staff who will then help you develop your skills. Examples of suitable settings could be a care home, day centre, hospital or a community mental health unit or a dementia club. We can help you to organise suitable placement experience depending on your interests and goals.
