Entry requirements

This course is government funded, you must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:

You must currently live in England   
You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study   
You must be over the age of 19  

Course information

The aim of this qualification is to support anyone who is responsible for the safeguarding of people and for helping prevent radicalisation. It gives learners an understanding of recognising the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation and the potential consequences of illegal online activity.

Mode of learning will be blended delivery which in simple terms means delivery of learning in both a classroom situation and via online sessions- face to face and/or online reflective learning either taking place at the same time independently according to schedule.

On campus days for this course are as follows:

  • How you are assessed

    The typical structure of the course requires assessment books to be completed online within the given due dates – for most courses each assessment has a 3 week deadline period. A course can have between 2-5 assessment books. Your work will be marked by your Tutor and returned to you within 7 days.
  • Next steps

    Study materials are online and you will be sent logging on information once you complete enrolment. if they are right for their subjects. A typical course usually takes 15 weeks to complete. There is a £30 registration fee. Your teacher will provide support and guidance throughout the course in addition to face to face and online sessions.
