Entry requirements

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However you will be assessed to confirm you are able to work at Level 3.

Course information

There are an estimated 23,800 childminders in the UK. This qualification prepares learners to set up a home based childcare setting as a registered childminder. It is also suitable for learners who wish to be employed in home based childcare settings as childminding assistants or other home childcarers (eg nannies, au pairs).

Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or tasks.
