Application Process

  • Make an application

    • Fill out the application form
    • The international team will get in touch with you once your application has been submitted and will request the below documents that are required to study at NCC.

     

  • Documents requested for international students

    NCC Application form
    This will be required in order to process any documents

    Valid passport
    It has to be your current passport with a validity of at least 6 months.

    Academic and English language certificates
    You will need to provide your:

    • previous school records and certificates.
    • Five or more GCSEs grades 9-4 including: English Language & Maths equivalent.
    • SELT (Secure English Language Test) with a minimum of 5.5 or B2 equivalent. Please see the link with more information on approved tests within the UK and outside the UK.

    Academic reference from your current or previous school/college/university
    In this academic reference we will also need the contact details of the referee and their relationship
    to you.

    Evidence of finances for living costs and fees
    For the financial proof you will need to show you have £1,334 per month for London living costs (for
    the duration of the course up to a maximum of 9 months – £12,006). If funds are in overseas currency,
    then you will need to do a currency conversion. If you have any unpaid tuition fees then you will need
    to demonstrate that you have this money in addition to the maintenance funds for the consecutive
    28-day period.

    If you are not using your own bank account as proof of financial, you can only use your parent(s)/legal
    guardian(s)’ account. In the event of using your parent(s)’ bank account as financial proof, we will need
    to receive a copy of your birth certificate. If you use your legal guardian(s)’ bank account as proof of
    financial, we will need to see a court letter confirming they are your legal guardian(s).

    The bank statements should be not more than 31 days old. You must show that the money has been
    held in the account for a minimum of 28 consecutive days. The account balance must not drop below
    the relevant amount during the whole of the 28-day period.

    Cover letter
    In this letter you should include the reasons why you would like to study at NCC

    TB Screening
    In some countries you must show that you have been screened for Tuberculosis (TB). See the countries
    that required it here.

    Parental/legal guardian consent form
    Students under 18 years of age, or those relying on funds held in parent/guardian’s account will need
    to submit this form.

    Translation of documents

    If any documents are not in English, they will need to be translated by an
    official translator or a translation agency.

    *We may allow candidates to go ahead with the interview without providing some of these documents in specific circumstances:

    These are:

    • English test (SELT): If it is booked but it hasn’t taken place yet, or if it is due to be booked shortly, or if the candidate is waiting for the results.
    • Financial records (They have confirmed the funds are available but are just waiting to meet the 28-day requirement.
    • Tuberculosis test: If it is going to be booked only if the NCC interview is successful.

    Once you have sent all these documents, they will be meticulously checked, references might be contacted, and a panel will decide whether the student is suitable to study at NCC.

    After a decision is made, you will receive an email with the result of your application. If your application is successful, you will be invited for an interview. However, if your application is refused you will receive an email explaining why it has been declined.

  • The Interview

    We will contact you to arrange an interview. This can be done online, or in person. Please, let us know if you are going to be in the country as soon as you know so we can arrange a meeting.
