Aftab Khan

Aftab Khan progressed to become Assistant Vice President – Capital and Leverage Management at Barclays Treasury after leaving Havering Sixth Form College in 2007.

He was an outstanding student while at college, achieving straight A grades in A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry and also in AS Physics.

Having originally been set on a career in Medicine, Aftab secured a place at Oxford University straight from sixth form and graduated in Physiological Sciences & Neuroscience in 2010.

However, he then had a change of direction and after leaving Oxford, studied Accountancy and became fully qualified in ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Formerly of Stratford School and from Plaistow, Aftab started as an Intern at Barclays in June 2011 and very quickly progressed in the company to the role of Assistant Vice President – Capital and Leverage Management.
