Emma Webb

Emma Webb went on to become a commentator and broadcaster, specialising in extremism, and appeared regularly on TV news and debate programmes.

In March 2021 she appeared on BBC TV’s political debate programme Big Questions hosted by Nicky Campbell where she gave her views on the decision to strip Shamima Begum of her British citizenship. See her twitter post here and a news report of the programme here

She became the Deputy Research Director of The Free Speech Union and an Associate Fellow of Civitas (Institute for the Study of Civil Society) think tank.

Emma achieved A*A*A* in Philosophy, Religious Studies and Psychology when she studied A Levels at Havering Sixth Form College in 2011.

The former Emerson Park School student then went on to Cambridge University to read Theological and Religious Studies and then completed a Masters Degree at King’s College London.

Emma worked as a Research Fellow for the Centre for the Response to Radicalisation and Terrorism at the Henry Jackson Society – a British political think-tank. Her research focused on Islamist terror networks in Europe; Islamist extremism in the UK and Islamist extremism and radicalisation policy in education.
