Lee Robertson

Lee Robertson graduated from Cambridge University in 2017 and worked as the Volunteering and Charities Co-ordinator at OxFizz.

Lee, an ex pupil at Emerson Park School, was at Havering Sixth Form College from 2012 to 2014 and studied A Levels in History, Government & Politics, Psychology and Extended Project, achieving 2 A* and 2 A grades.

He was part of the College’s Aiming High programme, was active in many community events and was selected to represent the History faculty on a trip to Auschwitz, organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust.

After leaving College he went on to study Human, Social and Political Sciences at Selwyn College, Cambridge.

In his role at Oxfizz – a not-for-profit social enterprise which delivers educational services to raise funds for good causes – Lee managed volunteer communications, organised volunteer events and liaised with charities.

He set up a subject carousel day to give high-achieving students a taste of what it would be like to study a variety of different subjects at Oxford and Cambridge and around 10 Havering Sixth Form students attended.

Lee said at the time: “The day gave students the chance to hear about a range of different subjects – some of which they may have never heard of or considered before. Also at OxFizz we are committed to reducing educational inequality, and widening participation to Oxford and Cambridge.”

He says he has fond memories of his time at College: “I am so grateful for the support I received from Havering Sixth Form in my application to Cambridge – and I know that many tutors are still doing amazing work with the Aiming High programme.

“It was a pleasure to meet and support students from my old College recently, and I look forward to working more with them in the future.”
