Olivia Crowther

Olivia Crowther went to work in Crisis Management at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, aiding and protecting British citizens should they be caught up in terrorism or other damaging events overseas.

A former student at Sanders Draper School, Olivia studied A Levels in English Language, History and Law while at Havering Sixth Form College, achieving straight As.

She left College in 2009 to study for a degree in History at Queen Mary University.

On the first day of her job, in June 2015, the terrible massacre on the beach in Tunisia happened and Olivia had to think on her feet and learn very quickly.

When a situation arose, she had to work shifts in order that the Office could provide 24-hour support to people affected. Her job has taken her overseas and it required her to have very in-depth security vetting before she could be employed.

Olivia often returns to College to help current students with UCAS personal statements and CV writing.
