“I am currently studying on the Supported internship course here at New City College. Through the supported internship programme, I secured a placement at Marriot Hotel working within the housekeeping team. I also had the opportunity to shadow at Reception which has helped improve my communication skills. I found my placement very exciting and rewarding. The programme is equipping me with the necessary skills to move on in the world of Work.

I have been able to overcome my learning difficulties and struggles in social situations. My speech and language have improved and my confidence is growing. I really appreciate the very high teaching standards, the support offered, and the enthusiasm and welcoming attitude of all staff at New City College”.
