Legends Boxing Academy
In September 2017 New City College opened its Boxing Academy in conjunction with Legends Boxing Club. The academy is run by Jamie Williams who is the owner of Legends and coaches a number of professional fighters.
The academy is open to all young people both male and female who maybe have an interest in getting fit to that of someone who wants to train to be a professional fighter. Jamie ensures that all students are safe and no students are made to fight. Those that wish to spar or fight and are deemed to be of the required standard are invited into Jamie’s professional gym.
New City College, along with Legends, hopes to earn ABA status in the future which will allow students to compete should they choose.
Along with improving boxing skills, Jamie also supports students by offering work experience and work placements within his gym. This is ideal for those that may be interested in a career in the fitness industry or for those who may be interested in becoming a boxing coach.
