Colleges Week, 18-22 October, is a chance to celebrate and shout about all of the brilliant things that colleges do, day in and day out to build communities, boost businesses, and support individuals. The inspiring way colleges have responded to the challenges thrown up by COVID-19 means that there will be even more inspiring and impressive stories to tell than ever before.
Here at New City College our students, staff, employer partners and networks are celebrating Colleges Week 2021 with a LIVE panel discussion on Tuesday 19th October.
Colleges are an important part of the employment, skills and learning infrastructure and culture in East London and Essex. Colleges are perfectly placed to offer the education and training we need for a strong recovery from the pandemic and to rebuild for a successful future.
Colleges need investment to enable them to deliver so much more to support people, places and productivity. Our colleges are at the centre of the biggest issues and challenges of today. Colleges are central to rebuilding the economy post-Brexit and through COVID-19, strengthening communities, and supporting people through some of the toughest challenges we have faced.
New City College is central to the national, regional and local response to COVID-19 and central to the skills revolution. New City College is important in the rebuild and retraining agenda for our local communities. We have asked our students, our schools and our employer partners for their views and questions they would like our panel to discuss.
Join the live event on Tuesday 19th October from 12.30pm to 2pm to hear the discussion. If you can’t make the live event, don’t worry! A recording of the session will be available on this web page.
