Level 1 UAL Diploma in Art, Design and Media


Course Summary

The UAL Level 1 Diploma in Art, Design and Media programme is designed to provide a bridge between Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. You will study Art, Design, and Media over 3 days every week. Your projects will include Video Production, animation, design, illustration, and 3D design. You will be taught by art and media specialists in the art and media studios You will work with specialist staff in specialist facilities in our Blueorange studios, as well as having a personal tutor to help with all pastoral needs.

You will gain creative insight into the fundamental techniques of art and design. Focus on traditional and modern digital elements of art and design. You will gain an understanding of art and design (drawing, painting, illustration, and design), digital media techniques (Animation and Adobe applications) giving you progression opportunities to our art and design and creative media courses.

This course is delivered through our learning company Blueorange. Blueorange is a working industry studio across our campuses working with live client briefs on professional standard projects.

Entry Requirement:

2 or 3 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including English and Maths. If no GCSEs, college assessment at Entry level 3. Successful completion of Entry Level 3 qualification.
