Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery (Preparation and Cooking - part-time)

Course Summary

This part-time course is designed for people who are working in a professional kitchen and wish to achieve a formal qualification. You will be assessed in our own real work environment, OKN1. Further your knowledge and skills as a professional chef in the hospitality and catering industry.

You will be expected to prepare and cook a more complex range of dishes while the investigative and theoretical units provide a broad understanding of all kitchen operations. This qualification is achieved with a combination of practical as well as externally set assignments.

Where Does It Lead:

Level 3 NVQ in Professional Cookery or Level 3 Leadership and Supervision and an opportunity to work shifts in our new OKN1 restaurant on Hoxton Street.

Entry Requirement:

You must be employed and have a professional approach to food preparation and cooking. Outcome of diagnostic assessments will also be taken into consideration when offering a program of study

Study Time: Day - 9:00am - 4:30pm
