Topics

This is a 12 week course for adults with continuous start dates throughout the year. With guidance and support you will work online towards achieving a recognised Level 2 qualification, and receive your certificate on completion. Please apply or contact us for further information.

This qualification provides a broad range of knowledge and information for those who want to work in mental health, a care sector which presents one of the greatest challenges to our society, with an estimated 450 million sufferers worldwide.

Course Content:

- Gain skills and understanding to improve the experiences of service users;
- Understand the importance of duty of care in adult health and social care;
- Understand the role of the mental health worker;
- Learn the correct approach to care and management.

    You will learn:

    - Understand the Role of the Mental Health Worker;
    - Mental Health and Mental Health Issues;
    - Understand Duty of Care in Adult Health and Social Care;
    - Approaches to Care and Management in Mental Health;
    - Understanding Change and Support in Relation to Mental Health.

    As part of your registration process for online learning you will have to attend a short induction to provide evidence of your eligibility. You will not have to attend an interview.
