Grade 3 English Language GCSE or L1 Functional Skill English, Grade 3 Maths GCSE or L1 Functional Skill Maths, 4 GCSEs at Grade 3

Course information

In addition to our A Level subjects we offer a GCSE study programme. This one year course is suitable for students who have achieved a grade 3 at GCSE level and wish to improve their grades, or overseas students without Level 2 qualifications.

This is an opportunity for you to re-sit GCSEs in English, maths and science. As part of the course, you will be able to also take a GCSE in psychology to make-up five GCSE subjects (dependent upon assessment and entry qualifications).

You will study combined science across the three sciences of biology, chemistry and physics and be expected to complete lab work in each of the science subjects. You can also study GCSE psychology or sociology as well as English and maths if needed.

All students are required to take an entry test in science to be considered. On this course, students will study:

  • Maths
  • Physics
  • Psychology or
  • Sociology
