- completed a Level 2 qualification in either IT or Coding
- completed the Introductory course linked to this qualification
- You must also be able to commit to at least 5hrs of home/independent study each week

This course is a 'Free Courses for Jobs' course. This courses is free if you are not working, earn below the National Living Wage annually (£18,525), or do not already have a level 3 qualification. find out more
The purpose of this qualification is to provide you with sector awareness. It will give you a chance to develop knowledge and skills relating to cyber security practices with the view to seeking employment or proceeding to further study in this area.
The Local Government Association estimates that the 'low carbon workforce' will treble by 2030 and that demand for digital skills and transferrable skills such as creativity, critical thinking, interpersonal communication skills and leadership skills will also become more important as technology advances and virtual working becomes a lot more common.
