NCC is one of the largest and most respected colleges in the UK, with some of the highest course pass rates in the country. You can choose to study a vast range of subjects from short IELTS courses to 1 or 2-year A level or vocational courses.

The IELTS Academic test is for people applying for higher education or professional registration in an English speaking environment. It reflects some of the features of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to begin studying or training.

Please, be aware that international students who require a student visa will only be able to apply onto Level 3 or above courses, as well as English language courses on a short term visa.

Our international admissions department will help you with your application. These are the steps you will have to follow in order to become a student at New City College:

1. Fill in the application form

Firstly you will need to go into the college website: Once you have selected your course, go to the checkout and complete the application form. The international team will get in touch with you once your application has been submitted, and will request the documents required to study at NCC.

Documents requested to international students:

  • Copy of main page of Passport
  • A minimum of one academic reference from current or previous school/college/university
  • Proof that you will be able to support yourself while in the UK (last three consecutive monthly bank statements)
  • A letter explaining why you want to study here
  • A copy of your certificates from previous studies
  • Certificate of English level 5.5 IELTS or Cambridge First Certificate grade B
  • Tuberculosis test (only for countries where you need a TB test to enter the UK) Check if you need it

Once you have sent all these documents, they will be meticulously checked, references might be contacted, and a panel will decide whether the student is suitable to study at NCC.

After a decision is made, you will receive an email with the result of your application. If your application is successful, you will be invited for an interview. However, if your application is refused you will receive an email explaining why it has been declined.

2. The interview

We will contact you to arrange an interview. This can be done online, or in person. Please, let us know if you are going to be in the country as soon as you know so we can arrange a meeting.

New City College can arrange accommodation for students who take courses at the college. This is organised by us through Britannia Student Accommodation, which is registered with the British Council (see their website for details: britanniastudents.com)

Most students take homestay accommodation, which involves living as a member of the family with your own room. Please see below a list of prices for different Homestay accommodation in London Zones. New City College Poplar and Hackney campuses are in Zone 2. You can stay near the centre of London (Zones 2 and 3) or in the more relaxed and leafy suburbs (Zones 4 and 5) as you prefer.

The prices quoted are in GBP, British pounds. Course fees are provided as a guide only and you may be required to pay additional exam and admin fees depending on your course. All fees for academic courses are based on a per year cost and are exclusive of exams and resources unless otherwise stated.

All our English language courses fees are based on a 1 term cost and are exclusive of exams and resources.

    The level 1 Introductory Certificate in Business course is popular and highly relevant for those passionate about pursuing a career in business, or setting up their own business in the future.
  • What is the duration of the course?
    15 weeks

    The High School Programme takes place in Westbourne Academy Bournemouth

    31 hours/ week
  • What qualification can I obtain after the course?
    Level 1 BTEC Award (Pearson)

Refunds
Please read carefully. New City College has a no refunds policy. This means that the students can only get a refund in the following circumstances: * If a visa is unsuccessful the fee will be refunded less £50 admin fee. (No refund will be made if the visa is refused due to fraudulent documentation).
