Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or higher, including English and Maths, or equivalent Level 2 qualification.


This programme is designed to offer you a work ready qualification which will equip you with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career as a personal trainer. You will study the key theoretical principals behind personal training in units such as anatomy and physiology and bespoke exercise design, as well as developing your practical skills in units such as sports conditioning and exercise programme instruction.

In studying this programme, you will have priority access to our onsite fully equipped gym which will provide you with a high quality environment in which to achieve your qualification. Upon completion, you will be eligible for direct employment in the industry as a personal trainer and will also cover units designed to help you set up your own business. A number of students who complete this programme go on to study Sport and Exercise science at the college or pursue further study at university.
