Apprenticeships

  • What are the requirements to be an apprentice?

    You can apply to be an apprentice from 16 years old

    You must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years

    You must have the right to work in the UK

    You will have to undertake an assessment/skills test to ascertain your suitability for the course

    You must not be in full-time education

  • How long will it take?

    Apprenticeships typically take between one and four years to complete depending on the qualification you are taking.

  • What support will I receive during training?

    Your employer and training provider will make sure you receive sufficient support during your studies.

    Their job is to ensure that your training fits your personal requirements, offers the skills needed for the job and satisfies national standards. They will also be there to help and support you through any challenges or problems.

  • Do I have to pay anything?

    No. There are no tuition fees or costs attached to an apprenticeship. In fact, while you are an apprentice, your employer pays you a salary.
