Performing Arts Students Take Local School Children on a Mystical Christmas Journey
Local primary school students were enthralled this week with special performances of a new magical Christmas pantomime show created by performing arts students at New City College.
Entitled 'Santa's Lost his Reindeer', the college's students created their own version and performed it to rapturous applause in the New Vision theatre, located at the college's Epping Forest campus in Loughton.
Young students from local primary schools enjoyed being taken on a mystical journey as the cast went on an exciting adventure to help Santa Claus find his missing reindeer, and which included battling ice queens, rapping with Polar bears and as they do so, learn the true meaning of Christmas and working together.
Phil Hall, Deputy Principal at New City College Epping Forest campus said:
Our students train in a modern working theatre and these live shows are a great opportunity for them to perform to a live audience. Performing five times in two days I think has given students a real insight as to what being in the industry is like. The response has been epic.
