New Year, New Start! Adults invited to make a resolution focused on learning

New year is a time for making resolutions and the largest college in east London, New City College, is inviting adults to begin 2020 by learning a new skill or gaining a qualification to boost their career ambitions.

Adults aged over 19 years who want to start a course are being invited to a recruitment day at its campuses Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Redbridge on Wednesday January 15, between 4-7pm.

Courses available include accounting, IT, early years, sports and fitness and hospitality and all leading to qualifications that can aid career progression. Further career focused courses are being offered in construction including the popular IEE electrician qualifications.

There is also courses in English for speakers of other languages and in maths and English, to help adults boost their confidence and ability.

For those who may be looking for a short-course and learning a new skill or hobby, there are courses in dance, music, cake making, photography, foreign languages clothes making and arts and crafts.

A New City College spokesperson said:

The new year is a time for making resolutions and we would like to encourage adults to make a resolution focused on learning. Joining one of our January start courses could boost their career prospects, give them the confidence to help their children with their homework, settle into life in the UK, or make new friends and have lots of fun on one of our short courses.
