Our alumna Marta Amado has successfully achieved her ambition working in the NHS as a Biomedical Scientist. Marta was one of our first students recruited to enrol on the HND in Applied Biology. Having successfully progressed to the University of East London (UEL), Marta completed her degree and has now secured a position as Biomedical Scientist at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The NHS is looking to recruit 4% more Biomedical Scientists. Skills learnt in HND programme enables students to have the practical skills and knowledge to progress into their third year at university. HND is a two year programme and is the first two years of a degree programme costing £5,000 per annum compared to £9,250 per annum at a traditional university.
Save money and take the opportunity of smaller classes and on site parking to step into a new science career - we are still enrolling students and start induction and teaching on Monday 28th September
Matha said: "The HND course at New City College Redbridge has given me a great opportunity to progress into my dream job. I am very grateful to all the staff at the Redbridge campus for all the support and motivation."
