February half-term week was a busy one for our sports coaches at our Epping Forest campus as they arranged a knock-out football tournament for under 16s and 18s.
Future young footballing stars battled it out for their teams to win the trophy and be crowned the champs. More than 100 boys attended the event, along with their parents and coaches from their clubs.
11 local teams from the Essex/London borders participated in the competition held at the ground of Harlow Town Football Club.
In the final, Saffron Walden Town edged out Harlow Town Eagles to claim the inaugural trophy!
The event was coordinated by the coaches from the college's Epping Forest campus in Loughton, ably assisted by their BTEC sports students, some of whom were confident enough to referee matches.
Overall, it was a highly successful day for the college in promoting its sports courses and partnerships with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club at our Epping campus.
Perhaps a few young stars of the future took part
A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped to make it such a great day!
