Epping Forest Students Play Role In Award Winning Movie!

Media students couldn't believe their luck when they got the opportunity to help out in production roles on a film which went onto win high profile awards!

The students at New City College's Epping Forest campus took part in the production of the movie Dead Ringer, which has gone onto win the Best Independent Movie at the 2019 National Film Awards, beating other competitors including Idris Elba's highly rated film Yardie.

Some of the scenes were filmed at the Epping campus and the students had different roles in the production including as runners, to helping with sound and visual.

Phil Hall, Deputy Principal at New City College Epping Forest said:

It was a great privilege and opportunity for our students to really interact with the movie industry from a production standpoint. All the students were given official IMDb movie credits, solidifying their involvement in the production.

Dead Ringer stars a vast array of UK and US actors such as Danielle Harold (Eastenders) and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan).
