This is a 12 week course for adults with continuous start dates throughout the year. With guidance and support you'll work online towards achieving a recognised Level 2 qualification, and receive your certificate on completion. Please apply or contact us for further information.

Official data showed that over 7,500 people were referred to the Prevent programme in 2015/16. The purpose of this qualification is to support anyone who is responsible for the safeguarding of people and for helping prevent radicalisation. It gives learners an understanding of recognising the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation and the potential consequences of illegal online activity.

What you will learn:

- Understand how to reduce the risk of radicalisation;
- Know how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm;
- Understand how to reduce the risks posed online.

  • Assessment Criteria

    You will learn:

    - Unit 1 – Understanding the Prevent Duty;
    - Unit 2 – Understanding Safeguarding;
    - Unit 3 – Understanding Online Safety.

    As part of your registration process for online learning you will have to attend a short induction to provide evidence of your eligibility. You will not have to attend an interview.
