This is a 12 week course for adults with continuous start dates throughout the year. With guidance and support you'll work online towards achieving a recognised Level 2 qualification, and receive your certificate on completion. Please apply or contact us for further information.

The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge of different learning difficulties, such as ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. The course is aimed at learners looking to improve their understanding and awareness of the below key topics, especially those working in healthcare, social care and education.

What you will learn:

- Understand Specific Learning Difficulties;
- Understand the Effects of Specific Learning Difficulties;
- Understand the Diagnosis of Specific Learning Difficulties;
- Understanding Supporting Individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties;
- Understand the Context of Specific Learning Difficulties.

  • How you are assessed

    You will learn:

    - The characteristics of ADHD, ADD, dyslexia and dyscalculia;
    - How specific learning difficulties can affect children and adults in different ways;
    - The importance of early diagnosis;
    - The various assessment methods available to diagnose specific learning difficulties;
    - How individuals can be supported to gain, start and continue with study and employment.

    As part of your registration process for online learning you will have to attend a short induction to provide evidence of your eligibility. You will not have to attend an interview.
