Topics

This is a Level 1 qualification in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development which is designed to provide an introduction to working in different sector areas. Learners will gain an overview of key skills and areas of knowledge in order to inform further study and/or employment choices in different sector areas. This qualification will provide students with the opportunity to: Gain knowledge and understanding of transferable skills and gain an overview of key skills and knowledge relevant to their chosen sector in work experience or simulated work settings. Rights and Responsibilities, Team Work and Presentation skills. Gain an overview of key skills and knowledge relevant to their chosen sector in work experience or simulated work settings. •Runs over four days per week. •Learners will undertake a bespoke programme. •Undertake work placement/experience, with support if required. •Learners are fully supported in and out of the class if required. Timetabled sessions include: •Awareness of Relationships •Parenting Skills •Personal Money Management •Preparation for Work Experience •Taking part in an activity •Rights and Responsibilities •Team Work and Presentation skills •English and Math’s •Tutorial

Further information

There is the opportunity for progression onto Supported Internship or other higher level course or the long term destination as identified in the EHCP and meeting the PfA agenda.
