School of Foundation Learning - SEND

Welcome to our Foundation Learning and special education needs and disability (SEND) page

At New City College, we are passionate about students achieving their full potential through holistic, innovative, experiential learning opportunities. We offer a comprehensive range of training and support to learners with Special Needs and Disabilities to help them achieve their aspirations.

Come and see us! We are currently enrolling for September 2021 and are always happy to help and answer any questions you have. See the link above for campus opening times.

Our courses such as Encounter, Discovery and Move On are designed to help our students become more independent, build their confidence and communication skills and become ready for adult life.

Our Vocational Explorer and Foundation pathway courses support the transition into college and build student’s confidence and study skills.

We also provide supported employment and enterprise pathways, which facilitate students becoming ready for work, for instance through our Skills for Work and very popular Supported Internship Programmes.

In addition, we have bespoke catering and café courses. Students develop employability and catering skills with experience in a working kitchen. They also learn to cook, front of house and customer service skills.
