Skills for Work

If you would like to develop your communication, social and pre-work skills and take part in running a business, you may choose to do the Introduction to Skills for Work course. You should be aged between 16 and 24 and may have needed some extra support at school. At the beginning of the course, we will talk to you about what you want to achieve at college so that we can plan with you what you need to work on.

This course will forcus on; Exploring the world of work and develop work-readiness skills and vocational tasters in college, Work experience in college and/or in wider community, Access to the community and travel training, personal safety awareness and how to lead a healthy lifestyle Prepare for progression to vocational courses and the supported internship programme

Entry Requirement:

There are no formal entry requirements is required, you will have an interview

Where does it lead:

On completion of Skills for Work, you may progress on to our Supported Internship programme
