Course Overview

Entry requirements

On this one year programme students will; Focus on practical skills and basic Catering, have the opportunity to undertake Functional Skills in Maths and English, Speaking and Listening. Access embedded ICT Build individual course portfolios, Cater and serve the college community and have the opportunity to participate in college wide events throughout the course

Information

This courses uses our Independent and Lemon Tree cafes to develop learning opportunities and confidence.  Learners will work in a team to deliver  basic catering and hospitality services in the college.  This model provides experience of working in a team, customer service, useful vocational skills and lots of personal development.  It is excellent preparation for SIPs.

  • Assessment Criteria

    To achieve the qualification, you will be expected to complete a portfolio of work in maths, English and your core subjects of Personal Development. Your practical skills will be assessed on an on-going basis by a qualified assessor within the practical areas.
