Information

This is a Level 1 NOCN qualification in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development which is designed to provide a classroom-based introduction to working or studying in some of the following sectors: Business and Administration, Catering, Creative Skills, Horticulture and Sport and Leisure as well as more generic employability skills designed to build confidence for the workplace.

The qualification also contains units to address learners’ needs in Personal Development, and understanding of risk and to teach them the knowledge and skills necessary to make safe and informed decisions, as well as where to seek help and guidance in order to keep themselves mentally and physically safe and healthy.

  • Runs over four days per week.
  • Undertake work placement/experience, with support if required.
  • Learners are fully supported in and out of the class if required.

  • Rights and Responsibilities
  • Team Work and Presentation skills
  • English and Math’s
  • Tutorial
  • Assessment Criteria

    Assessment is ongoing through the academic year and paced at the learner level.
