Greater London CTEC Conference.
Bringing education and industry together to strengthen London's construction talent pipeline.
Building London's construction workforce together
Bringing education, employers and industry together around a shared ambition.
The Greater London Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC) conference brings together leaders from education, industry and the wider construction and built environment sector to support our shared ambition: to strengthen London’s construction talent pipeline and create clearer pathways into rewarding careers.
We cannot do this alone. Building a stronger workforce means working together — sharing perspectives, tackling the skills challenges facing the sector and creating stronger connections between education, employers and industry.
- Connect industry with the next generation of talent
- Create work experience, job shadowing and industry engagement opportunities
- Help shape training around real employer needs
- Share expertise through workshops, employer boards and industry sessions
- Support learners into sustainable careers and progression
- Contribute to a skilled, diverse and future-ready construction workforce

Understanding London’s skills needs
To build a stronger construction workforce, we first need a clear picture of where the skills gaps are and where they are emerging.
The Construction and Built Environment Skills Demand Mapping, and CTEC Prioritisation Rationale Report brings together insight from across the sector to highlight the roles and skills in demand, identify areas where supply does not yet meet need, and help inform where greater collaboration and investment could make the biggest difference.
This provides a shared evidence base to support the development of stronger training pathways and help London build the talent it needs for its future homes, infrastructure and built environment.
