Safeguarding Information for Parents

New City College have both statutory and moral responsibilities to safeguard our young people.

At New City College, we have both statutory and moral responsibilities to safeguard our young people, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources to stay safe. Our safeguarding systems are continuously reviewed in line with government guidance, social trends, and emerging risks to ensure a secure environment.

We take pride in being one of the safest colleges in London and the South East. Each campus is equipped with full-time safety officers dedicated to maintaining site security and vigilance against potential threats to our students and staff.

Should any student feel unsafe or perceive a threat to their well-being, we encourage them to approach any member of staff immediately. Safeguarding Officers are clearly identified with posters displayed across all campuses, detailing how to contact them.

As a parent or guardian, if you have concerns regarding your child or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us at keepsafe@ncclondon.ac.uk. In an emergency, please call our central Contact Centre at 0330 135 9000. For out-of-hours support, please refer to the information at the bottom of this page for alternative support.

New City College plays a crucial role in protecting students from the risks of extremism and radicalisation, in accordance with the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015.

We urge you to familiarise yourself with our Safeguarding and Prevent Policy, and to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have. Please read our college-wide safeguarding and prevent policy here.
