Schools Partnership

New City College partners with schools to support students’ next steps, offering assemblies, workshops, taster days, and resources. Outstanding outcomes, SEND support, and Baker Clause-compliant opportunities help every learner explore courses, apprenticeships, and careers confidently.

Working together to support every student

  • Events and Open Days: Attendance at careers fairs, parent information sessions, taster days, and open events.
  • Resources and guidance: SEND and inclusion support, pastoral and wellbeing resources, and tailored careers guidance materials for teachers.
  • Bespoke support: We can create bespoke sessions to inspire and engage your students, just tell us your school’s needs.

Why partner with us?

New City College is committed to supporting schools and helping students achieve their full potential. Recently graded Outstanding by Ofsted, we consistently deliver excellent outcomes, with students achieving results well above the national average.

Our provision includes specialist courses, A Levels, apprenticeships, GCSE resits, and SEND support, ensuring every learner has access to the right opportunities. We also provide strong pastoral care, enrichment activities, and wellbeing services to support students’ personal and academic development.

Partnering with us means your students benefit from high-quality teaching, real-world opportunities, and guidance tailored to their individual needs.

Supporting your school with Baker Clause compliance

The Baker Clause requires schools to give students in Years 8–13 meaningful access to technical education and apprenticeship providers, ensuring careers information is part of a comprehensive strategy and that students receive a full range of careers opportunities.

By taking part in New City College’s Schools Partnership Provision, your school can meet these requirements easily. Our assemblies, workshops, taster days, and parent sessions give students real access to information on technical courses and apprenticeships, helping you stay fully compliant.
