Maths and English GCSE Exam Dates Arrangements

Arrangements for Maths and English GCSE dates 2026

The following information has been emailed to all New City College students as relevant to their campus.

At New City College we have thousands of students taking English and Maths GCSE exams this year. To accommodate this most classes will not take place on the mornings of these exams

Please check arrangements for your campus below:

The remaing dates are:

  • Wednesday 3 June 2026 (Maths GCSE paper 2)
  • Friday 5 June 2026 (English GCSE paper 2)
  • Wednesday 10 June 2026 (Maths GCSE paper 3)

If you are taking maths and / or English GCSE or another exam on these dates:

You will have been given the details of when and where you need to be via Pro Portal. Please arrive with plenty of time to sign in and settle in before your exam starts. These are very busy exam days and you may need to queue to sign in and leave items in the cloakroom.

If you are NOT taking an exam on these dates

Most lessons will not take place on the mornings of these exams. You will be notified if your lesson is taking place. Please read the information below carefully and look for your campus. In most cases, if you do not have an exam or a lesson, do not come into college on these mornings.

Generally:

16-19 year-olds and 14-16 year-olds: Morning classes cancelled except at Attlee.

Adult students: If you have not been explicitly told to come in, do not come in on these mornings. Except: Ilford campus is open as usual. Any specific arrangements for Arbour Square will be communicated separately.

We wish everyone taking exams the very best of luck.
