Arts Council announces £250k funding for NCC creative partner

A huge £250,000 grant has been awarded to an arts and cultural programme which will inspire New City College students in their creative endeavours.

Havering Changing, a consortium of eight organisations, including New City College, has announced that it has received the funding from Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places National Portfolio.

The money – guaranteed until at least March 2026 – will ensure that students from Ardleigh Green and Havering Sixth Form campuses and groups in the local community, will be able to continue to take part in various arts and creative projects and experiences.

Andy Greaves, New City College Deputy Group Curriculum Director for Creative and Digital, said: “This funding announcement is great news for the local creative economy in Havering and for our students progressing into this sector. The money will help people living in our community to continue to lead their own inspiring creative programmes.”
